Hydro One’s Emergency Vegetation Maintenance in the City of Ottawa

Hydro One forestry crews will be conducting emergency vegetation maintenance along a number of transmission corridors throughout the City of Ottawa this summer. If you live or have a business adjacent to the transmission corridors where work is required, you can expect to receive advanced notice. Work will begin in early July and is anticipated to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting. Only vegetation that poses an imminent risk to Hydro One’s electrical equipment will be trimmed or removed at this time, and if work is required on private property, you will be contacted in advance by a Hydro One forestry representative. The following transmission lines require emergency vegetation maintenance work in Ward 23:

  • Bridlewood Jct (located at Eagleson Road and Abbeyhill Drive) to  Merivale TS (located near Merivale Road and Woodfield Drive)
  • Bridlewood Jct (located at Eagleson Road and Abbeyhill Drive) to Almonte TS (located on Country Street near Rae Road)

If you have questions regarding the emergency vegetation maintenance work, please contact Katrina Kim with Hydro One Community Relations at 1-877-345-6799 or Community.Relations@HydroOne.com.
