Community
Kanata South is a vibrant community in the west-end of Ottawa and has approximately 40,000 residents. The City of Ottawa created Ward 23 or Kanata South in 2006; it encompasses land south of Hwy 417 to Hope Side Road and from the Carp River to parts of Richmond Road. Kanata South is comprised of three distinct neighbourhoods: Katimativik-Hazeldean, Glen Cairn and Bridlewood.
