Clarence Maheral Park Earth Berm

Please note that the construction of the Clarence Maheral Park Earth Berm is identified in the Glen Cairn Flood Investigation (GCFI) Report dated 2 March 2010.  This work will begin in 14 May 2012 and will require a construction access to Clarence Maheral Park off Castlefrank Drive between Sherdrake Drive and Glamorgan Drive.

This work may result in some inconvenience to you such as minor delays in traveling alone Castlefrank Drive as traffic will be reduced to one lane in one direction with flagging during construction.

In trying to keep the work place as safe as possible, the City of Ottawa respectfully requests that all residents and pedestrian exercise extreme caution when walking or cycling through the construction site until the work is completed.

The Contractor, G. R. Construction, is expected to start Contract work the week of 14 May 2012 with substantial completion by 13 July 2012.  The project involves construction of an earth berm, topsoil and sodding, tree planting storm sewer and watermain works. For the duration of the Contract, GR Construction will take every precaution to minimize interruptions to the everyday life of the residents, but as you can appreciate, there may be some inconvenience during the course of the work, such as minor delays in travelling through the construction zone, and noise.

Temporary traffic–related modifications

During construction, a section of the existing sidewalk on Castlefrank Road east side will be closed to pedestrian.
