CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

September 2017

Dear Resident,

The City of Ottawa is planning to build a sidewalk on the north side of Bridgestone Drive from Eagleson Road to approximately 100 meters east. Construction is expected start in October 2017.

Who:       The City of Ottawa has retained the Contractor, Adria Concrete & Paving Ltd., to perform the work.

Why:       The construction of the new sidewalk is to provide a pedestrian connection where there is currently a missing link between the existing sidewalk on the north side Bridgestone Drive and the existing sidewalk on the east side of Eagleson Road. In addition to this, new concrete accessibility pads are being installed on the south side of the Bridgestone Drive and Bridle Park Drive intersection to improve the accessibility at this location.

What:      The construction of the new sidewalk between the existing sidewalk on the north side Bridgestone Drive and the existing sidewalk on the east side of Eagleson Road.

New concrete accessibility pads are being installed on the southeast and southwest side of the Bridgestone Drive and Bridle Park Drive intersection to improve the accessibility at this location.

When:    This work will start in October 2017 and will be completed by late Fall 2017.

Where:   The construction of the new sidewalk on the north side Bridgestone Drive is between the end of existing sidewalk on this street and Eagleson Road. The installation of new concrete accessibility pads will be on the southeast and southwest side of the Bridgestone Drive and Bridle Park Drive intersection. All proposed sidewalks will occur within the City’s road allowance and traffic disruptions will be minimized as much as possible.
