Re:      West End Flood Mitigation Measures

Dog Bone Park Earth Berm

Spring 2012 Construction Start Notice

 

The firm Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited completed the proposed earth berm in Dog Bone Park, off Sheldrake Drive in the November 2011.  Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited will resume construction of the remaining landscaping (topsoil and sod) and asphalt pathway reinstatement works starting the week of 25 April 2012, with substantial completion by the end of May 2012.

 

As part of this contract, Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited will assume full responsibility for the construction work until completion.  Their company will take every precaution to minimize interruptions to the normal living of your family, but as you can appreciate there may be some inconvenience during the course of the work.

 

The Contractor is required by the City to carry out liability insurance before any work may proceed.  If you have any questions about the contractor’s inspection, or concerns about property damage, please call the office of Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited at (613) 822-1049, in order that they may deal with the issue as quickly as possible.

 

If you or any member of your household requires special assistance due to a physical or visual impairment, please feel free to contact the undersigned so that we can make arrangements to obtain assistance for you.

 

The Ottawa Construction Association has requested your assistance in minimizing theft of construction equipment.  If you notice any unusual activity on the job site between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. (overnight), please contact the police.

 

The City Construction Technician for this project will be Mr. Rick Coker.  He will be on-site regularly, and you may speak to him at any time should you have concerns.  You can also reach him by calling him on his cell phone at (613) 720-4565.

Objet : Mesures d’atténuation des inondations dans l’ouest de la ville

Levée de terre au parc Dog Bone

Avis de commencement des travaux au printemps 2012

 

 

Madame, Monsieur,

 

L’entreprise Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited a terminé l’aménagement de la levée de terre proposée au parc Dog Bone, proche  de la promenade Sheldrake, en novembre 2011.  Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited reprendra les travaux d’aménagement paysager (terre végétale et gazon en plaques) et de réfection du sentier en asphalte à partir de la semaine du 25 avril 2012, les travaux devant être quasiment achevés à la fin de mai 2012.

 

Dans le cadre de ce contrat, Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited assumera l’entière responsabilité des travaux jusqu’à leur achèvement. L’entrepreneur prendra toutes les précautions pour réduire au minimum les perturbations causées à la vie des familles dans le secteur, mais vous comprendrez que des dérangements pourront néanmoins se produire pendant les travaux.

 

La Ville exige que l’entrepreneur détienne une assurance responsabilité civile avant d’entamer les travaux.  Si vous avez des questions sur l’inspection de l’entrepreneur ou des préoccupations quant à d’éventuels dommages matériels, veuillez téléphoner au bureau de Ottawa D-Squared Construction Limited, au 613-822-1049, qui verra à y répondre le plus rapidement possible.

 

Si l’un des membres de votre ménage ou vous-même avez besoin d’aide en raison d’une déficience physique ou visuelle, veuillez communiquer avec le soussigné, qui verra à ce que les arrangements nécessaires soient pris.

 

L’Association de la construction d’Ottawa fait appel aux gens du secteur pour l’aider à prévenir le vol d’équipement de construction.  Si vous remarquez de nuit, entre 19 h et 6 h, des activités inhabituelles sur le chantier, veuillez communiquer avec la police.

 

M. Rick Coker sera l’inspecteur en construction de la Ville pour ce projet. Il sera sur place régulièrement, et vous pourrez vous adresser à lui pour toute préoccupation. Vous pouvez également le joindre par téléphone au 613-720-4565.
